As a designer, I’ve had my fair share of triumphs and challenges. However, one obstacle that I’ve consistently battled throughout my career is imposter syndrome.
Hey there,
I hear you. The struggle with imposter syndrome is a journey that many of us navigate, and really it’s not an easy path. Feeling like you’re not doing enough or questioning the quality of your work can be incredibly draining, especially when the pressure to do well/excel seems relentless.
As a designer, I’ve had my fair share of triumphs and challenges. However, one obstacle that I’ve consistently battled throughout my career is imposter syndrome. I’ve found myself in those shoes, — moments when the heaviness of self-doubt feels almost unbearable. It’s a confusing struggle between feeling like you’re doing too much or not doing enough, and the fear that maybe, just maybe, your efforts are not being acknowledged.
I used to love designing, but now it’s just uhhhhhh…. Doubt’s taken over, and I’m missing the joy in it. Those claps and nods? Feels like I’m starving for them. But hey, I know I’m not the only one feeling this way. We’re all in this mess.
So ehn, we are going to take a step back, breathe, and adjust. Acknowledge our accomplishments, no matter how small, and celebrate the progress that you’ve made. Surround yourself with a community that understands and supports your journey, for we are all travelers in this vast landscape of creativity.
Remember, you are not an imposter; you are a creator navigating the complex tapestry of your own brilliance. Embrace the process, and trust that, in due time, your designs will once again flow with the authenticity and passion that defines you.
Stay resilient, and know that brighter days are ahead.
